Playing without an account

Bible Quest works fully with no account at all. If you never sign up, your progress is stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device — we never see it, and nothing about your play is sent anywhere.

What we store if you create an account

Creating an account is optional and only exists to sync your progress across devices. If you sign up, we store:

  • Your email address, used for sign-in and account recovery.
  • A display name (defaulting to the part of your email before the @, unless you set one).
  • Your quiz progress: which books you've played, your best scores and mastery per book and difficulty, achievements earned, and a history of completed runs (book, difficulty, correct/wrong counts, points, and when).

Where it's held

Account and progress data is held in Supabase, the database and authentication provider behind this app. Access to your own data is restricted by row-level security: only you can read or write your own progress. We don't operate any separate server that touches this data — the app talks to Supabase directly from your browser.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell your data, to anyone, ever.
  • There are currently no ads or ad networks in this app.
  • We do not share your data with third parties beyond Supabase, who host it on our behalf.

Deleting your data

To request deletion of your account and all associated progress, email emmanuel@emedinformatics.ca from the address on your account. We'll confirm once it's done. Until this contact address is set up, you can also stop using your account at any time — guest play with local-only storage remains fully available and requires no data to be held about you at all.
